Well then, consider Foothill Junior Cougar’s Cheer Program! Foothill Junior Cougars Cheer is a local cheer program that practices at Foothill High School. We cheer-on our associated football team during their Saturday game, as well as compete in an end of season Competition. We promote unity and spirit, while teaching responsibility and leadership. A study from the University of Missouri says, “Many athletes do better academically. Playing a sport requires a lot of time and energy. Some may think this would distract student-athletes from schoolwork. However, the opposite is true. Sports require memorization, repetition and learning — skill-sets that are directly relevant to classwork. Also, the determination and goal-setting skills sports require can be transferred to the classroom.”
